SAF Internship Partners

SAF is committed to providing the highest quality internship opportunities possible.  To do so SAF works with internship partners who have extensive experience and established reputations in this specialized field.

The Academic Internship Council (AIC)

AIC, formerly known as EUSA North America, is SAF’s partner organization for the Boston Summer Business Internship Program.  EUSA, the parent organization, was established in 1984 and is a non-profit organization working in partnership with Boston University.  In 2011, EUSA restructured in the USA establishing AIC as an independent, internship provider.  The summer internship placements in Boston were initially developed for the Boston University graduate program in Mathematical Finance. Participants are required to have significant background in Business subjects.

Foundation for International Education (FIE)

FIE, established in 1998, is a successful non-profit organization with considerable expertise in providing internship programs in partnership with leading US universities including American University, Drexel University, Purdue University and the University of Wisconsin – Madison. The range of FIE internship placements reflects the diversity and internationality of social, cultural, political, scientific and economic activity in London.  FIE is noted for the quality and depth of its support facilities and resources. FIE’s specialized academic programs allow students to maximize the value of their stay in London, gaining theoretical knowledge, practical skills, life experience and an international perspective.

The Washington Semester Program

The Washington Semester Program (WSP), established in 1947, is one of the oldest and most prestigious academic internship programs in the US.  SAF has been affiliated with WSP since 2000.  In addition to US federal government offices, many businesses and organizations have offices in DC making the Capital City an unsurpassed location for internship placement.  Through WSP seminars, students also have many opportunities to meet and speak with influential people and leaders in an exceptionally wide range of fields and industries.  American University, a private, co-educational university founded in 1893 by a US Act of Congress, administers the WSP and provides the program’s accreditation.
